Andy Wetzel grew up in north Spokane where he went to Mead High School, before attending Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Andy graduated from WSU in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. He had known since high school that he wanted to attend law school, and is now entering his second year at Gonzaga University’s School of Law.
During his time at Washington State, Andy served as the Washington State University Interfraternity Council’s Director of Finance and Administration. Under this title Andy worked to increase philanthropic donations on behalf of WSU students, while also handling the IFC council’s fiscal responsibilities such as creating budgets, allocating funds, and collecting dues. Andy’s parents are small business owners in the greater Spokane area. Combining that with his experience at WSU, Andy has developed a long term interest in business law, specifically intellectual property, contract, and corporate law.
During his free-time in the fall, you can find Andy attending Cougar Football Saturdays in Pullman. In the winter, you can find him watching basketball by way of either the Zags, or the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the spring, you can see him get his hopes up that the Seattle Mariners will make the playoffs, and by the summer you can see those hopes have disappeared.
