Stephanie Vick

Stephanie Vick is a family law attorney.

Stephanie double majored in Psychology and Political Science at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and received her J.D. at Gonzaga School of Law. Before law school, she worked in juvenile and adult mental health and during law school she was a Rule 9 intern with the Spokane City Public Defenders.

Stephanie guides clients through making difficult decisions with ease, understanding, and compassion and prepares all types of family law matters. Family-related conflicts are difficult and stressful. Stephanie is prepared to help clients navigate the rough patches.

Stephanie maintains her work-life balance with hockey, plants, and caring for her two cats, Pumpkin and Leo.

Zach Walls – Intern

Zach is a 2L at Gonzaga University School of Law. He grew up in Seattle and attended Bishop Blanchet High School. Zach earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Broadcasting and Journalism from Gonzaga University, graduating in 2021. He begun law school later that year where he is an associate editor on the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and a founding member of the Sports and Entertainment Law club. In his free time, Zach enjoys the outdoors, golfing, and thrift shopping. He is a loyal Seattle Mariners fan and loves discussing Gonzaga basketball.

Averi Hallman – Legal Assistant

Averi was born and raised in Spokane, Washington where she attended and graduated from Mount Spokane High School. From there she made her way down to Tennessee where she was a member of the University of Memphis Women’s Soccer Team. Averi graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Communications.
After graduation, Averi made her back to Spokane where she got her start at a local restaurant in the service industry. As a manager in the service industry, Avery pivoted to the legal industry as a Legal Assistant at McNeice Wheeler.

Brooke grew up in Spokane, Washington and attended Ferris High School. She went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in 2016 from the University of Idaho. Brooke graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2022.

During her second year of law school, Brooke joined McNeice Wheeler as a legal intern and has been with the firm ever since. During her time at Gonzaga Brooke served as the communications chair for the Gonzaga Public Interest Law Project, was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, and a mentor for first year law students through the Smithmorre P. Meyers Teaching Fellows program.

Brooke enjoys spending time kayaking during the summers, and spends her free time with her family and friends.

Caitlin Christie – Legal Assistant

Caitlin Christie joined the McNeice Wheeler team as a legal assistant. Caitlin was raised in Vancouver and Spokane, WA and attended Mead High School. Caitlin swam competitively for 9 years, racing mostly mid distance and backstroke.
Caitlin went to Seattle University, graduated in 2019 with a BA in Political Science, with a focus on international conflict, including a study abroad in Prague at Vysoká škola Ekonomická v Praze, VŠE, the University of Economics in Prague. Ms. Christie loves travel, climbing, backpacking and sailing.

Andy grew up in Spokane and attended Mead High School. After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Washington State University, he attended Gonzaga University’s School of Law. Andy earned in Juris Doctor in 2019.

Following his first year of law school, Andy joined McNeice Wheeler as a legal intern and has been with the firm ever since. During his time at Washington State, Andy served as the Washington State University Interfraternity Council’s Director of Finance and Administration.

An avid sports fan, Andy loves Washington State University football, Gonzaga basketball, and, the Seattle Seahawks. Andy also enjoys spending some of his free time correcting his colleagues when they mistakenly assert that Michael Jordan was a better basketball player than Lebron James.

Becki Wheeler

Becki Wheeler grew up in Spokane and attended Lewis & Clark High School. Becki played college basketball at North Idaho College, before attending Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California where she continued to play varsity basketball and received degrees in both Biology and Chemistry in 2001. Becki returned to Spokane to attend Gonzaga Law School, where she was a member and associate editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. During law school, Becki practiced as a Rule 9 intern with the Spokane firm, Morris & Morris, P.S.

Becki joined the McNeice Law Office in 2008 and subsequently has become a partner at McNeice Wheeler, PLLC. Becki is licensed to practice in the state courts of Washington and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Spokane County Bar Association.

In addition to her work for the firm, Becki is also active in the community with several local organizations. She remains active with the Gonzaga Law Review, and has also been a member of the Board of Directors for the Angel Ball Foundation for Juvenile Diabetes, Spokane Police Foundation and is currently on the Board of Directors of The Big Table. Becki has also been a guest speaker at the Spokane Mother’s Club on the topic of estate planning as well as a guest speaker at Gonzaga University School of Law on the “Business of Law”.

Joe Murphy

Joseph Murphy grew up in Spokane, graduating from Gonzaga Prep in 1993. He attended Gonzaga University earning a B.A. in Business Finance in 1997 and attended the Gonzaga in Florence Program.

In 1997, Joseph moved to Ireland for a treasury assistant position with CRH plc. Upon returning to the United States, Joseph became a licensed securities broker working with WAMU Financial Services. Subsequently, he attended the University of Denver School of Law from 2000 to 2003. During law school, he worked as a law clerk for M. David Johnson PC and as a legal intern for the Colorado Legal Initiatives Project. Joseph became a member of the Colorado State Bar in 2004 and took a position with AXA Financial.

After 10 years working with AXA Financial in both Denver and Seattle, Joseph joined Eltopia Communications in 2012. He sat and passed the Washington State bar exam in February of 2013.

Currently, Joseph works as general counsel for Eltopia Communications. Joseph has recently joined McNeice Wheeler as an associate attorney, opening a McNeice Wheeler office in Seattle, WA.

Joseph is experienced with investments, estate planning, wills, trusts and probate. Joseph is a member of the Washington and King County Bar Association.

In addition to legal work, Joseph has been on the board of the Providence Mt. St. Vincent foundation in West Seattle, board member for The Pink Shamrock Foundation, founder of the Roothaan Scholorship fund at Gonzaga University, founder of Seattle’s Third Tuesday group and an active member with HRC and Lambda Legal.
